The Fischer Cone Biopsy Excisor (FCBE) is a LEEP electrode that can be used to create precise cone biopsy specimens. It comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. The FCBE has a straight stainless steel electrode attached to an insulated shaft and stop arm. The electrode is inserted into the cervix until the stop arm touches it, then the shaft rotates 360ºs to cut a cone-shaped specimen. The FCBE has a linear wire electrode that stays rigid, making a clean cut with little or no bleeding. It also has a stop arm that provides stability and support for the wire electrode, resulting in better control and smoother cutting.
