Shop Flexible RhinoscopesWhat is Rhinoscopy?
Rhinoscopy is the endoscopic examination of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, and — in the case of flexible rhinolaryngoscopy — the larynx and vocal cords. Using a thin, flexible endoscope passed through the nasal passage, otolaryngologists can evaluate the nasal mucosa, turbinates, septum, nasopharynx, and glottis for pathology including polyps, tumors, septal deviations, and vocal cord lesions. Rhinoscopy is commonly performed in-office and in ASC settings with minimal patient preparation. Flexible rhinoscopes are the core instrument, supported by light sources, camera systems, and ancillary nasal instruments.
